"MachiCon" has become popular after the earthquake disaster in Japan on March 11, 2011. It offers you to meet new future partner. The young men & women are asking for marriage because of  the crisis of confidence after the disaster."Machi" means town in Japanese. "Con" derives from communication network.

The participants of "MachiCon" get to enjoy 2 or more restaurants as you like and win a chance to meet as many people as possible at the spot. The event is held in large scaled. Participants are easily gathered around a thousand. It helps drastically to rejuvenate businesses in the region, as well as participating restaurant. They are marriage end-ups between participants who met at this events.

"SenCon"  in Sendai, Japan.

We, FOODRINK NEWS supported to establish "SenCon" of Sendai where is one of the stricken area of the disaster. We held a seminar in Sendai to encourage F&B owners immediately after the disaster. The idea of "MachiCon" was employed as an idea which encourages the town and dining out of Sendai in it. And it actually holds on October 10, 2011 named "SenCon", Sendai Communication Network. 1300 or more men and women were gathered from not only Sendai but also other areas and the town in Sendai heaped up. Also after that, it is continued and the 8th time is held on November 11, this year.

In Singapore where we have started business, a decrease in the birthrate progresses. The total fertility rate in 2010 is 1.16 persons. Singapore has even lower rate compare to Japan's fertility rate of 1.39.

Japanese dishes are popular now in Singapore. Although it seems that those are expensive. TONKOTSU ramen about 15 dollars with accessible pricing are extremely popular to young men and women. As for "Men Ya Musashi" in Raffles City mall, about 30 persons were lining up on Friday evening.

Japanese dish popularity and decrease in the birthrate are unified and we are planning to hold "SingCon", Singapore Communication Network. Young Singaporean can try various Japanese restaurants at low prices and moreover can find partners. It is also connected with the friendship of Singapore and Japan.

Time is planning after a Chinese new year on February, next year. We would like to prepare tour also from Japan to participate in "SingCon". By the way we held EKIDEN, a marathon for F&B people on September 23. We are impressed by ourselves as we are event lovers truly.
