Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city center, Island Café is a small, intimate fusion café and restaurant that exudes the feel of an Australian beach side restaurant, replete with wooden furnishings and a light color palette. The contemporary café and restaurant lets visitors ease into the laid-back vibes from down under.

The menu is brief yet colorful, featuring lasting regional delights that whet appetites in an environment that promotes casual dining. Here, you'll be treated to one of the city's best chicken curry briyani, Hainanese pork chop rice, lamb shank masala briyani, and crayfish laksa. The crayfish laksa packs a punch of spicy and seafood goodness, and tastes somewhat similar to chicken curry. Other must-tries are the seafood mee goreng (Malay style fried noodles), Penang char kway teow (stir-fried ricecake strips), and fried Hokkien mee (noodles).

If you're a fan of Western and European food, you'll be happy to know that the café and restaurant serves perennial favorites like the beer battered Fish & Chips, bratwurst sandwich, spaghetti carbonara, and Caesar salad. No meal is ever complete without desserts, have a go at the café and restaurant's ice-kachang along with a refreshing glass of homemade lemongrass, barley, chin-chow, and longan.
